then the worms should be able to catch up. Maybe think about a compost bin for all your extra scraps. Sadly my garden is too small to harbour a compost bin. That's why I got the wormery in the first place. My worms are on a bit of a go slow too! I would think it by Swedboy

will do... off to tuck the worms into bed now! Yes, always cover compost heaps. This does keep in heat on freshly-made heaps, holds in moisture to stop material drying out, but also keeps out heavy rain that can make everything very soggy.I agree by John

Hi Kate, Happy Christmas,One of my compost bin is almost full and the worms are still active, When I lift the lid to put more waist in there is always a lot round the lid and rim at the top,One bin is almost empty now so I can start to refill by oldchippy

Ground elder in compost bin
of a good alternative idea?   Ann   Have you had a problem with ground elder growing inside the compost bin ? I wouldn't advise compost bins on concrete, they work best when worms can come up from the bottom and have a good old munch at the stuff you by Nik&Ann

few months of there being compost there are thousands of worms!! Bless 'em!We now have a worm factory too. It's not so much the compost I'm looking forward too, it's the liquor for feeding. I can almost hear the plants drooling at the thought by Helen, Malvern
