A Compost recipe !!
The 3 things needed for making compost are Air, Heat and Moisture in equal measures. Its not the grass, twigs, leaves or veg peelings that makes compost, although they are important, its the micro-organisms that really do the job. Provide by marshmello

Plant Supports for Perennials
I remember seeing Monty Don making plant supports for perennials on a earlier episode of Gardeners World.  Can anybody tell me how he did it?  I know he used metal rods of some description and bent them. This one?  http by kaythomson1

Help needed........
to find out how far their roots extend into the garden. They could make cultivation difficult. If they were my trees, I'd think of having them down. But dealing with those roots could still be a big job.Do you like the view of that shed in the distance by Duchess

Talkback: Siting a greenhouse
If you set your greenhouse on slabs, make sure the upper surface isn't 'riven' as that lets water drain in whenever it rains! by Callander Girl

Ponds
buy the special pots in a good garden or aquatic plant centre.  The advice these days is to plant into mostly grit as this anchors the plant and prevents soil leaking into the pond water and making it a)muddy and b) rich enough in nutrients to grow by Anne Brown

Get thrifty
into the soil at the level of the roots. Coffee shops are a great source of free used coffee grounds which make excellent fertiliser for the soil, espcially for acid loving plants. Buy plants out of season. Spring bulbs are cheap after Christmas, summer bulbs by Daniel Haynes
