Creating a wildflower meadow
Hello, I'm new to this site but would love to ask more experienced gardeners for some advice. We would like to create a wildflower meadow in our field in an area approx 5 metres by 15 metres. The main issue we have is that our house is on the site by chinchillasoup

Wildflower meadow
Hi, The last of the snow has melted and the weather is starting to warm up, do you think it's ok to sow my wildflower meadow even if there is still the risk of frost? wildflowers are used to our climate, they'll be fine.  Thank you by Erica938

Poa, meadow grass
You haven't said what the problem is. My lawn is covered in lime green grassy patches which have grass flowers sprouting from them. I have checked on google and the problem looks as if it is Poa or Meadow grass. I can't see any chemical treatments by Robin3

Wild flower meadow
I have a 4m x 4m area which I am trying to convert to a wild flower meadow but living in an area of grade 1 agricultural land, specialist turf just went to grass despite the addition of yellow rattle. I am limited to the depth of soil I can remove by deadkeendaisy

plants for a wild life friendly meadow
I have a meadow area and want to extend the range of plants in it. It's stiffish soil but not really heavy clay, badly drained in places and hard in summer. Former agricultural land, grass since 1960s. Lesser knapweed goes well, scabious persists by nutcutlet

Did you see the meadows at the Olympic Park?
If you, or anyone you know, visited the Olympic Park last year I'd be really interested to find out your opinions. I'm doing research for my degree in Garden Design and it would help me greatly if you could complete a short  survey at  http://olympicgardendesign.co.uk/Olympic_Park_Meadows by garden design student

Talkback: How to grow wildflower meadow plants
Nice and simple to do! I'm trying to turn a plain boring verge into a wildflower "meadow" - bought plugs are too expensive a way to do it and I've had poor result (sub 10%) with direct planted seed, so this would make a good use of my plug trays by GlenG
