.  I wouldn't bother looking on t'internet, you'll get lots of different opinions, probably most of them conflicting. Poor, wet, ill-drained soil.  You will not find it easy to combine these conditions with a wild flower meadow.  One or the other. damp by C15.52

Cowslips in July ????
flower normally grows in water meadow type fields.Yours could well be a late Primula Florindae a giant cowslip which grows and flowers in summer, (what summer you may ask).Primula comes in many shapes and forms a lot of them yellow and you can tell by Linda Taylor2

can i plant sprouting doffidil bulbs now?
waterside meadows and need plenty of moisture at their roots.  Do not cut the leaves off and do not plait or tie them up.  They'll flower well the following year or I'm a Dutch person  Plant them, feed them and just let them grow. They prob will flower by elin reeve

Fritillary (Snakes Head)!!!!
in the flood plains in Oxford, so I know they love the moisture.The reason for planting in a pot is that I have not prepared the natural flower bed for them, I have also planted a flower meadow mat (with seeds sewn into squares on the mat). Due to ill health I by Terry 2

weedkiller
Has anyone used Wilko concetrated weedkiller? It does not say in instructions how long berore you can plant after using, or if you can replant,i want to use it on an area covered in ground elder, then hope to re seed with meadow grass. Any advice by Aliesh

Germination of some wildflowers
I have sown some corncockle seeds several times in different locations this spring and they have failed to germinate! The catalogue labelled them as 'easy'... what am I doing wrong? The same also for meadow cranesbill.  Any advice gratefully by Outdoor girl

weeds away to plus they will come back next season even better hope this helps. If the soil is poor why not try some wild flower plants such as you would find in the wild flower meadows. Try an annual seed mix for quick results this year and add plug by lesleyw
