lawn removal?
I'm setting up a veg patch with raised beds in my new garden which is all laid to lawn.I have purchased some weed suppressing membrane for the paths between the beds which I will be covering with gravel.My question is as the area for the raised beds by Christopher Tribe

variety of birds and a variety of wild life that live or visit my garden including foxes. badgers and hedgehogs. there's a happy medium between a rampant mess full of weeds and dog muck and the pristine constipated gardens of South Eastern suburbia!!! just by Allotment Robin

Overgrown Garden
it more managable and then have a look at what you have in the  garden. Some shrubs are lovely you might find a few good plants in amongst the untidyness. I would set the mower to medium or high and go over the whole lawn. You then dispose of the cuttings by sandra99

Tomatoes
Good morning - 40 years ago I used to enjoy a tomato whose flavour was so memorable, I can still taste it.  However I cannot find the tomato or its name.  It was a firm, medium sized fruit but had very stiking green rays eminating from where by Janie G

Mowing the lawn, but not the frogs!
. As my grass is a fair bit longer than the bowling-green type of lawn, I do it every time, even though it's a pain because even medium size frogs can be lurking and having killed two over the years, I really don't want to do it again. I have an old by Tim Burr

but it is medium heightand with a yellowish flower. I would like to know why it will not flower profusely. Can any one give me some advice please ? Alstroemeria are like peonies - they need time to establish as they hate root disturbance. Give it a try & leave by igreen
