Weeds in my compost

medium sized well stuffed garden, every available space has a plant but I also like my garden to look tidy and well presented. During the Spring and Summer I keep the plants in order pruning, deadheading, sweeping up and generally staying in control by ChristyRose

and stacked in a mound and left to drain. It was observed that in a couple of weeks there were Tomato plants growing on the surface this mound! If human waste was distributed on a garden there may well have been Tomato plants germinating and growing by H7

White bugs infesting compost bin
but nowhere near as bad and I'm worried that the compost won't be usable if I don't do something to get rid of them. I garden organically but any help on what they are and whether/how to get rid of them will be much appreciated Are they white fly?-if you dont by HyppyByker

flower buckets, mushroom cartons and noodle pots.
My greatest triumph is a large perennial and evergreen garden (grown from cuttings and gathered seeds) that is sitting looking lovely in flower buckets on my brick-paved driveway - and it cost me nothing at all! I have limited mobility which has by Dinah

Talkback: How to prune a plum tree

The free tomato seeds on the mag cover
toms with lots of fruit. They grew into 4' plum tomatoes plants that tasted yucky. hah - I remember buying a bunch of 'dwarf' gladioli corms for the front garden - spectacular, but enormous! I grew Maskotka last year, outdoors,  and they were very good by Sandra 2
