Pot worms
how do I get rid of pot worms. Its eating all my soft plants Not sure what you mean by pot worms, could it be vine weevils eating the roots? Earthworms would not damage living plant parts. I don't know about millipedes which are black often coiled up by Strewberry

creepy crawlies in the soil on the allotment
it will be a wireworm.   If not wireworms then I don't know what it could be. I thought it may be a wireworm, but it seems too flat and has lots of legs!! What about a millipede? I have orangey ones, they are very thin. lots of legs and about 3cm-ish  long by pennypat

hi all, got some bugs i'm stuck with.
... worked it out now. one more for you.. anyone? I think they're spotted snake millipedes.  They allegedly attack your spuds and strawberries during times of drought and there doesn't seem to be much you can do about them but use more resistant strains by me

Talkback: New Zealand flatworms
in Aberdeen at our allotment site we have hardly any earthworms, and wildlife (blackbirds, starlings, hedgehogs) must also be affected. DEFRA should be doing more! :/ Gerry Court, the creature you are describing sounds like flat-backed millipede by gailms

Talkback: Harvesting potatoes
I did wrong? Hello Alan! My lovely crop of Rockets will not need to be stored after all because the later liftings have all got regular sized holes in them. It is not wireworms as holes are bigger so I think it is millipedes. There are no beasties by Antonia
