lightweight spade and fork set
I wish to purchase a ligthweight fork and spade set for my elderly father.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  I understand that Fiskars do a set but I have seen mixed reviews. You could have a look at the Wilkinson Sword stainless steel range by Jane Markovic

takes your fancy. It's your choice. Now is good. Spring next week. Just planted up a new border which will be a mix of shrubs and perennials.  Had nearly all the shrubs a first and then lay them out looking at height etc They are the long term structure by M Fent

Miracle Grow seeds
Has anyone bought one of these 'shake n sow' tubs? Curious as to what types of flowers are included - assume they're all annuals (but that they may self sow if leave to go to seed). Need a nice variety of flowers for a few new borders by Becky P

evergreen colour in winter. I'm concerned that there's going to be big gaps after spring flowering but as the new plants haven't fully grown yet should I leave putting further evergreen plants in until later?? I started off my mixed border years ago by vashton19

Plants for narrow border
for a mixed herbaceous border. It depends whether one wants neatness or a romantic mass of billowing plants, I suppose, but with a border full of perennials, one can get a long season of colour and just sheer beauty without actually having to make much by Berkley
