Talkback: Derelict gardens

to thwart them in their desire to grow upwards, I'm not sure you'd get much of a harvest.  And if they were truly dwarf all along, all you'd have to do is to remove whatever structure you've erected.  I could do, but as I mix my veg and ornamentals by Swedboy

Talkback: Plants for shade
I completely agree with the comments about Jack Frost. I myself planted one last year at the foot of my ancient apple tree. This year it is ten times the size and the flowers are just stunning. A real centre piece to the border which includes by Galic and Snails

Talkback: Tulips
I too have had a disappointing tulip incident. The 300 'Queen of the Nights' I've been very excited about in a very large galvanised tub - have started to flower. They are in fact a nasty mix of all sorts of reds and oranges - not part by www.my-garden-school.com

euphorbias.  Polychroma is positively glowing in my borders at present.  I love primulas too and planted a whole load around my pond last year.  I was interested to see how they sow the seeds at Harlow Carr, as I'd always tried using them fresh. (with mixed by diggingdoris
