starting a new garden
made a frame out of 2x2 baton that fitted my wheelbarrow, and proceeded to cut the wire to size and then stapled it to the frame to make a giant sieve. Everytime I sort a border I stick the whole lot to a depth of a foot or so through the sieve by KevT

12 metre border ideas!!!
Evening all! Just wondering if any kind soul would care to offer me advice on how I can line my border down one side of my garden with an interesting array of evergreens to over time hide a fence behind it. To set the scene my border is 12 metres by lloyd_shooter

Waterlogged border
will also help. if all else fails try bog plants! i have wet heavy clay soil, i found if i dug 2 ft i hit grey clay ( which by the way burns into terracotta if moulded and thrown on an ordinary fire)...I dug about 3 feet down and had to mix my soil with 50 by The Gnomes

New piece of land for garden extension
, cheap bags full). You will need it for the borders if you have clay. It will help make the soil more workable later. Thanks for the feedback.Do you recommend adding grit to the mix to prevent a waterlogged lawn? I once recommended adding coarse sand by Gardenqueen
