Seed packet grumbles
Why do seed packets contain so little information?  I purchased some seeds from Sara Raven but regret it constantly. There is just not enough info on how to grow the seeds! For example - Morning Glory... they need more than just popping into seed by Outdoor girl

What's loving all this rain?
but strangely the morning glory 's flowering . All the shrubs and trees are doing well. I think this wet weather will have saved a lot of them. The daylilies, penstemons, hardy geraniums, foxgloves, rambler roses, in fact most of the roses except for 2 climbing by Leggi

Do these grow through plants?
with slugs on Delphs. In fact I almost never put slug pellets on the flower beds unless it is for Sweet Peas and Morning Glory, the latter being real slug magnet. I save the slug pellets for the veg; but this year am making an exception as there were SO MANY by Adam Young

Rented property - new to gardening
.  I think I'd grow some Morning Glory vines in there too - they'd look fabulous  Check out crocus.co.uk they list all plants and where to put what and where and are ideal for beginners and upwards. Their plants are superb quality. I have used them by William Couch

Talkback: Hardy annuals
'm trying Morning Glory (half-hardy), the plan being to let it climb through an old cotoneaster that looks as if it has died. I'm giving the shrub a chance to recover, but shall take it out if it doesn't. In the warm temperate greenhouse in the Bristol by Antonia

Welcome to the plants forum
with acid soil. For next summer, why not go for some climbing annuals, or tender plants like morning glory as well? They will grow faster than hardy perennials and give you lots of colour. You could make use of them to fill the holes while you wait by Daniel Haynes

Plants still in flower?
feel sad that I shall not be enjoying it in May - or do you think it will flower again then? I went up the garden this morning and filled a big basket with lots of lovely berries and foliage for my Christmas wreath but I could have just as easily filled by Kate Bradbury
