Moss what Moss I have more moss than lawn,You try telling Mrs Oldchippy not to cut the grass 3/4" all year round,I have had to stop her cutting it the beginning of the month, As for feeding it (why)you don't feed any plant do you,Happy New Year. Ah by oldchippy

My front lawn has a great deal of moss amongst the grass.  If I put down a moss killer, I am afraid I will have an almost bare lawn.  What should I do? If you use a moss killer with a weed and feed treatment combined that will help-when the moss had by jenniferrussell

Hi, I am not a keen gardener by a million miles but I really do need to sort the moss out in my front lawn - the garden is appoximately 8m x 6m so it is only small but I would say that currently 75% is moss and 25% grass. I went to a garden centre by Barry 075

Is it ok to put moss on the compost heap after scarifying the lawn? I wouldn't because I do not think it will break down. You can put all lawn cuttings in with your compost don't put to much together try putting paper and cardboard in layers to add by Ogre

I killed off the old lawn last autumn and am ready to put on new soill and topsoil before planting seed. Over the winter i have aquired a lot of moss on the area. Do i need to kill the moss first or will covering it with soil and topsoil kill by martin white

How do you get moss of a vegetable patch, we used to spread suplphat of iron on. We re unable to get it now.  ny ideas. You need to make area drain better add grit or a bit of sand I have never heard of anybody using a moss killer for lawns on a by Richard and Shirley Brailey
