Needing old mouse or vole nests
material is crucial.Do not use synthetic fibres as these will just entangle the bees and kill them. Suitable nesting materials are dried moss, upholsterers wadding, horsehair stuffing out of old chairs, kapok, bedding for small rodents, old mouse/vole nest by BrummieBen

Planting out pot grown roses

what can I put in compost
'm sure it's ok to put bits I cut back from perennials. Some pelargoniums I tries to overwinter died and had whitish dust on them, can these be included? What about weeds from cracks in paving including grass? Finally what about moss growing on the top by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw

How long after lawn feed and weed killer can I plant things?
