Lawns
I like to have a fairly nice lawn (I’m far from obsessive) it’s full of moss after the winter we have had,  it’s obviously fairly wet at the moment  –  not excessively as a gentle slope - we may have a ‘dry’ week next week, should I leave well alone by Devon Gardener

Living roof
You obviously meant to post something??? Oops planted living roof on top of dustbin store last year. Now looking very bedraggled with a lot of moss and all but sedum type plants have died. Also seems very wet despite having drainage holes at corners by Boardy

Alternative lawn
beds are going into one and the washing line is located in the other!!!!!! Grass is used for lawns because it works. Chamomile won't give you the neat and tidy appearance you want, and moss, which while looking gorgeous needs damp shade, takes a longish by Joanne Shackleton

feature shrubs (evergreen)
Due to weed and moss taking over, I am forced to do away with my front lawn and have created 2 centre beds with gravel paths surrounding. The outer borders are well established with shrubs. I want to plant a feature shrub in the centre of each bed by Honeys Uncle

of it? It may be slime mould. If it is, dryer weathe will get rid of it for you. Breaking up the ground surface will also make it less widespread. Thanks.  I have been told it could be a fungus which comes from moss spores. you don't live near the sea by jonnybabes

Slimy Fungus on gravel
with no success. Try spraying with a moss and algae killer, available at garden centres. That should get rid of it. Thanks for that we'll give it a try. Need something quick as it is spreading faster than the triffids did! Anyone else actually got the stuff by Barberry
