What is this?
safely say without fear of contraception that it is the pupae of the Noctuid Moth.  I call the catterpillars cut worms or b***ards - depending what mood I'm in.  When you go out in the garden and see something has cut the stems of your plants like a pair by Des4545

Can anyone identify these caterpillars?
Can anyone identify these caterpillars?  Thye have shredded my rhodedendron.  I thought they were azalea caterpillers but now not so sure.  Also how do I revive my rhodedendron? They could be Vapourer Moth caterpillars   http://uk.images.search by Trucker

Plum trees
Had good crop of plums this year, but when opened, had little pink wormlike grubs in them-how can I prevent this? Hi Ivor, Pink grubs are a sign of plum moth.  The only thing you can do is spray the tree at the right time.  You can get pheremone by Ivor

Talkback: No fly zone
Yes, they certainly can defoliate small trees - the psychedelic toothbrushes did just that to my Kilmarnoch willow! I was less kind than you, and sent them to toothbrush heaven. Reply to Frieda: There are several British moth species with wingless by Frieda

3 year old leaf mould containing cameraria ohridella
We have gathered leaves onto one site for rotting down for at least 3 years. For the last 2 the trees nearby have shown clear signs of the leaf mining moth. We went on heaping them on to our heap. Now we learn that the problem is managed by Carole Gadsby

my rosemary!!
can I do? Hello jdjp122, This sounds like tortrix moth. These moth caterpillars roll leaves around themselves to protect themselves - a very successful strategy. Carnation tortrix moth is known to attack many different plant species, including herbs by jdjp122
