Encouraging bats in our gardens
- in the summer they swoop low over our garden taking moths and and midges before they fly over the hill to the marshes - one warm evening I lay on my back on the lawn while OH watched a bat swoop back and forth only a few inches above me - a wonderful experience by obelixx

the other night i was out in my back garden talking over the fence to my neighbour,and there was about 2 or 3 flying over our heads,they were that low we could see through there wings and even witnessed 1 of them catching a moth in its mouth by nashonii@gmail.com

cacti soil
mix, overwatering will never be a problem!      Managed to fish out some pictures, you have to love cacti flowers, they are VERY short lived typically less than 24hrs, and most cacti flower at night to be polinated by moths!! Brumieben Hi many thanks by Alan4711

i have an issue with pest! partically pea moth, my peas are all gone. i have been advised to use lime in my soil after the season, this will help kill them off from the soil? but my Q ? is can i use bog standard lime from a builders merchant, or do by penelope6

unusual?It was Only last year that we started to really feed the birds in our garden and we've already been rewarded by parents bringing in their young for a feast.. I live in Stockport, Cheshire and I have noticed more butterflies and moths this year than by Paul Hall
