Wasteland garden.....please help
area. I've made, if not a lawn then an area suitable for kids to play on, by just mowing. If you rake out the bumps, dig up the obvious nettles. You might have to strim or hover mow the rough stuff to start with. Then just regular mow. Stinging nettles by Justine Read

Whilst giving my lawn a mow, movement from the pond caught my eye and spotted a hedgehog having difficulties getting out. It had managed to get itself caught between a sunken pot and the edge of the pond and couldn't haul itself out (I'm very by Tim Burr

Spring Time
together, we get long grass. Spring also signifies the start of the mowing season; it is where we fight our way through boxes of old glass bottles and newspapers which we should have taken to the tip weeks ago to finally reach the lawn mower which rests by George Barnes

Small Garden Needs Ideas

Talkback: Yarrow
it is a dry sandy slope.  Other people get moss, I get yarrow.  I tried to get rid of it when I first moved to my house but have long since given up the battle.  I now just mow it with the rest of the grass.  At least it still looks green in mid summer by jegpad
