you feel like doing after you have finished mowing. It can't be that bad that a blunt instrument could'nt scrape it off  - as an ex-caterer 'clean as you go' is my philosophy. OH uses a trowel to scrape off the thick of it and an occasional blast by Chris9

foxgloves have done far better than some of the hybridised novelties. Another bonus this year has been the economic crisis. Councils seem not to have had the funds to do as much mowing of road-verges and other public spaces as usual, so there has been a by Aliesh

lawn problems
Hi, I got a new lawn this year and we laid it by turf. It was perfectly fine but i mowed it 2 months later and I think it over cut so there are many yellow patches in my lawn and  It also looks dry. Are there any feeds that I can use in August by gardenflower

LAWN DAMAGE
the grubs eat the roots so I guess some reseeding will be necessary - your advice on  how best  to proceed would be appreciated.  I have little or no knowledge of lawn care save mowing, although I have scarified the lawn in an attempt to make things a little by pinkpeony

Sycamore invasion
't succumb to the plague, but we're in a hotspot right here  We have a well beloved red sycamore and indeed it seeds everywhere.  Pull out seedlings from flower beds, mow them down on grass - try to keep on top of them beause if they make it t a second by Norma Howarth

Crown Imperials
Just mowing my lawn and noticed a distinctly bad smell coming from tubs with daffs in. Closer inspection, I noticed the Crown Imperials which I planted two autumns ago (September 2011) are finally growing. Can't believe it. I'd given them up by Tim Burr

Strimmer or mower?
-but honestly a hover one is your best option-from a safety point of view- mow down a slope not up it Go for the the biggest one you can handle For me it would be the rotary mower. Never really got the hang of a strimmer. The top of my garden is quite flat by Robathome
