Alpine Narcissus
I've managed to save some seds from my tiny Narcissus Rupicola, do I sow them now or wait until spring? I've not grown them, but I would be inclined to sow them now. Most narcissus seeds need a spell of warmth followed by cold to germinate, so won by Patsy2

gerainium
when looking at geraimiun seeds some are refurd to as crainsbill what does this mean Cranesbill is just the common name for Geranium like daffodil is the common name for Narcissus. So it just means the same - these plants like to have lots of names by david hardy

spring bulb crisis!
been the cause? Do you take any precautions for slug/snail attack? There is a narcissus fly but that does the damage after flowering-not sure that many insects go for spring flowers to the point of eating them by Barbara Weaving

Wild flower meadow

Water logged
the least! and in the summer (well usually) the ground is as hard as marble, with no drainage except for what we add ourselves. In the spring and Autumn the plants have to contend with flood water. Oooh how exciting - I'd underplant with narcissus by Mother Hen

Talkback: Spring is on the way
to where I live, I noticed in the more sheltered part of the garden, the flowers of pink Azeleas and rhododendrons are now starting to make a welcomed appearence at last. The flow of Daffs and Narcissus are now more frequently seen in hedgerows, and I am by gwen

Hi, I'm a new kid on the block so to speak although I was a member many years ago. I have been given a bag of 50 daff and narcissus bulbs, they are still firm and have a sprout at their tips.  Is it safe to plant these, or will they rot. I don by brockley

Blind bulbs
us you are inflicted with Narcissus root fly, then dig them up and burn. You can tell if it is this if the leaves are few and weak growing. Dig up a bulb and if it is soft then cutit open and you cannot miss the slug like beast in the centre by deadkeendaisy
