Ornamental grasses
to be? In my own garden I use ornamental grasses but plant them along with irises and crocosmias to give a sort of semi-formal look. My reason for this is that I have an area of short mown lawn neatly edged and surrounded by perennial borders. My 'semi by christopher2

pink/burgundy unless you are very lucky! J. Try the doubles. They do not seed. I have been lucky with a couple of seedlings that have been respectively good and excellent. I grow a group of 20 or so with space between for other perennials by Tim Burr

Peppers

Making wildflower turf
solid wildflowers. No grass. I think it was planted up in the Spring, by council workmen. You won't do better than this.. Gardengirl, are you planning an annual wildflowers mix or a perennial grass and flower mix? I have a small pot with annual and bi by Gardengirl..

it had lost a lot of its leaves. I would say go for it but get in there before the plants get stressed.   I haggled about some perennials last year which were actually just suffering from lack of water. If you do get the trees, can't think of a reason why by Alan4711

worth buying primroses now?
until next year, replacing them with a different flower and keep it rotated year round. does that sound reasonable to do? Mine are just coming into flower - as perennials 50p is a good as they last for years. They are almost evergreen (depends on weather by djjjuk

Problem with Bluebells
