Passion Flower
Potassium based feed, a feed with too much Nitrogen will produce lots of leaves but will not encourage flowering. Hope this helps, the flowers are so beautiful. by Claire8

Growing best onions possible
Any opinions on growing best onions next year. Is if better to grow from seed or sets? Used to sow seed Xmas time but sets save a lot of time however undecided this year. Facourite varieties? And feeding? High nitrogen early ? It would by Verdun

Fertilising plum trees
the same as potato fertilizer (which is usually much cheaper!)  In general you should look for ones with high K (Potash) with N (Nitrogen) and P (Phosphorous) being lower and about the same as each other, in the NPK ratio on the box. Something with N-P-K of by sam1987

Moss overtaking sedum roof...help!

out but no luck so far . Odd-try giving it a good high nitrogen feed soon -growmore will do- or something similar- to give it a boost I planted a whole row of these last winter, they have done nothing, if they don't pick up this year I am having them by Lizzie10

without fruiting.  Tomato plants can keep on growing and growing. Exactly. Nitrogen-rich fertiliser, in particular, will give you tons of leaves and not much else. Stop feeding altogether and see what happens. In the past, I've definitely found by Dragonfly2

what feed?
Hi, I was just reading an article in the RHS mag that said magnesium deficiency causing yellowing leaves etc, can be caused by over use of nitrogen feeds such as tomato feed as potassium competes with magnesium for uptake by plants. I use as much by sthlndngrower

as it has a lot of nitrogen in it Lets hope it works Hi nightgarden,we also use the same or will be this year can you explain the diluting rates you have becouse it depends on what size container your useing to make it, so i can work out the dilute rate by nightgarden

Is organic fertilizer OK?
made from plants are OK.  In practical terms, to increase soil fertility organically means making your own compost and adding animal manure, which is high in Potassium and Phosphorus (ie K and P.)  The N (Nitrogen) will come from anything green you by Lunarz
