Feed spring bulbs
as to whether they were a newbie or experienced. The ideal fertilizer is a specific bulb fertilizer, which has more phosphorus than nitrogen or potassium, typically an NPK ratio such as 5:10:5. But it is expensive stuff. Miraclegro and Phostrogen are  the two by northchiel

Help
looked after! In fertile soil with lots of nitrogen, plants tend to put on leaf growth rather than flower. Flowering can be a response to stress - the plant flowers to produce seed, by which it can reproduce and ensure survival of the species if it dies by Mark1966

I've bought a Kangeroo Paws plant- but know nothing about them, for outside?
low phosphorus and low nitrogen are important.  There are people here who prune their well established big plants with a lawnmower! Good luck. by lucky3

replanting after hedge removal
on the border and that will eat off the Nitrogen, anything you plant will need watching and normally I would say leave it a year, but I know we cannot stand looking at bare bits so take a chance. Others will come up with ideas and you takes yer choice by libbyhawthorn@gmail.

Acers
enlighten me. Would appreciate any feedback. Yes, you can re-pot it now if it needs it, it'll do it good. As for the second acer - it may have been hungry, so make sure that it gets a good nitrogen-rich feed this year. The other possibility may have been by Robert Richards

Save my lawn
lawn sand or some a conditioner product which is high in nitrogen - And treat the whole lawn. Or just water the patch copiously. If the brown patch area remains an eyesore, I would then look into re-seeding or turfing.Hope this helps best of luck!  (ps by Wilde

Baby lettuce plants
's cheaper than a bag of leaves! Thanks Lalat. Yes, I got a big bag of baby-leaf salad seeds from a 99p shop last year and grew some as baby leaves, but also planted some out to grow on into bigger plants. Give them a high-nitrogen feed when you plant them by Kathy 2

patch as the nearby tree roots had made the soil quite 'hungry'. All plants can (almost) make something from nothing by photosynthesis. But they actually need more than sunshine and water. They need nitrogen. One way of supplying nitrogen is through by James5

Using nettle & comfrey juice
Forgive me if there's already a thread on this but I can't find anything. Last year I made litres of nettle juice with just a bit of comfrey in and then I realised it was nitrogen-rich so worried that it wasn't what I needed for flowers and fruit by HyppyByker
