Talkback: Sowing salad crops
help? Things to plant now are broad beans and peas (but not mangetout yet). Also beetroot, parsnip and early carrot varieties can go in now. Shallots, onions sets and garlic can go in now (last chance now for garlic as normally they go in in the spring by super mum

now ,and have reached about 20cms in hight. Also planted out onions grown from seed and sown broad beans direct in ground. I've just got back to the UK and am trying to sort out my veggie garden. I'd like to put in some broad beans - is it too late by mizzzy

years ago. Now I love all flowers , shrubs etc. my dad let me have my first plot! I remember planting radish,spring onions and lettuce as for my first garden it was probably hardy geraniums which were a gift I find them very forgiving i currently have by Keen-gardener

onions were consistent but lettuce there seems to be an abundence and then you realise you should have planted some more a week ago but never mind another summers on its way to try again.My new seeds for this year are carrots and garlic chives. I have by jane

, richer and yummier. I've grown baby spinach, lettuce, i've only just planted some spring onions and I have some carrots coming through beautifully(real easy). I've grown them all in pots to....just hope the radishes catch up (smiling) I like eating baby by gardeningeek

babies. anyone had wasp trouble.My ripe tomatoes have been nibbled at, at least I think it is wasps, never known them to attack tomatoes before? I too suffered from blight on my tomatoes, had great success with onions, peas, beetroot, new potatoes by supernanny
