growing onions and sets
Hi to all i started onion sets indoors about 2 months ago. They had about 5 inches of green stalks and a very healthy root system. I then planted them out into the garden about 1-2 weeks ago. Today i went to look at them as they didnt seem by dave greenfingers?

it getting blown over in the wind. Is it ok to plant Onion in the big pot around the Victoria Plum Tree? Did you know that if you have a split branch on a young fruit tree or such like. If you take a handfull of willow whithies, twist them round to hold them by Anonymous

I was very interested in the video regarding growing Japanese onions. I now live in Czech Republic where the winters are much colder than in England, -17c to -24c. I will give the onions a go and let you know if they come through unscathed. Thank by navrsi

Spring onion looking garlic
hi, i live in middlesbrough, i planted my garlicĀ 2 types the same time as Montty Don, last weekend i pulled a few as the leaves are starting to brown. on pulling them they just look like giant spring onions? how has this happened, can i still eat by indashaw1966@virginmedia.com

As we have lots of snow in the garden and the ground is very cold can I start onion sets off in individual pots and then transplant them into the veg garden later. I was so late getting my onion sets planted last year they did not grow. Just a by markpete
