Are these lavender plugs acceptable or DOA?
Would appreciate some advice please... I ordered some lavender plug plants and when they arrived they were very brown/grey, a bit mouldy and a few seemed completely dead.I rang up and complained and they sent me some more which arrived yesterday by Steve B

My experience of "customer service" .
Gardener which is, I think, a smallish firm, with an excellent website and a monthly catalogue. They sell seasonal plant plugs and bulbs. When I politely drew their attention to the quality control issue of my first order with them, I received what I feel by jatnikapyar

Plug Plants
Hi, Yesterday I received an order of pinks which I had sent for.  When they came the actual plugs were in good condition but the roots looked as though they had been grown in little pots of some sort of fabric.  I have noticed this before with a few by lavenderlass

nurseries and plant fairs during the spring and early summer.  The down side of this is that I don't plan then order. I buy then plan and some plants sit around in pots for ages before they find a home. Yes I buy online. Got new hellebore few days ago by Brumbull
