Obxx.    Good luck with yours. I have to sort out my daughters garden it is very waterlogged, so I have bought a golden sambuca, some carex grasses, Lobelia cardinalis anything else that will do well in these conditions Astilbes, hemerocallis, chelone by Chris9

, not interference. landscaped my garden in aprail,got rid of grass and made large aeras for planting flowers,shrubs.A snall pond with marsh marigold and yellow iris,the frogs love the logs and the york stone drywalling around the borders.I compost everthing by ChristyRose

(Thrift) etc. Several small bulbs should be OK, such as Grape hyacinths, crocus, snowdrops, the smaller alliums (onions) eg. chives or ornamental speacies. Maybe liriope or some of the coloured leaf sedges. Just look for the smaller grass like plants by emilym

Flowers we don't like?
bouquets are great, better than the finest man-made ornaments, though I don't like dahlias as cut flowers very much; they look oddly crude and earwigs are liable to crawl out of them. I once came back from Wales with the car full of cheap daffs by artjak

Invasive plants to avoid
. Artemesia limelight is a pain, but others are Ok, it used to turn up in hanging baskets but not so much now I'm glad to say.  After all, Japanese knotweed was introduced as an ornamental plant - a message to ponder maybe.  One mans invasive pest is another by christopher2
