Growing morning glory in a hanging basket.
. As a matter of interest, ipomea is regarded as a pernicious weed, every bit as bad as bindweed, in its native habitat (Florida, I believe), where it is a perennial. Luckily, we don't have that problem here - although you may find that it seeds heavily by kate1123

Ground elder in compost bin
in there but think they just get in there from when I add weeds etc.  Think they are in the soil attached to the weeds. You're not adding perennial weeds to your compost bin are you?  Not with the roots still attached? by Nik&Ann

's the problem with daisies (and dandelions)? I think I'm missing something. Am I? Daisies (Bellis perennis) are fantastic wild plants. They are also called Woundwort or Bruisewort. Daisies have long been used in domestic herbal medicine including, unsurprisingly by donnabbc

to run an allotment where there are perennial weeds without glyphosphate, especially if there are brambles as there are on mine. Sometimes a thick mulch of carpet helps with some weeds but has the disadvantage of being slow and will not necessarily by happymarion

Talkback: Winter aconites
or is weed control quite easy with aconites? No trouble with weeds as they are in bloom before the annual weeds show and perennials should be dug out before you plant them. They do seem to like the same conditions as snowdrops. I see one of these in our by Anonymous

change soil?
50cms Hi Cat poo is unpleasant for us but won't hurt the soil, there's always something sh...ing in the garden, that's nature. Weeds need digging out if they're invasive perennials or digging in otherwise.  What are you going to grow? Hmm well I by VirginGardener
