Venus Flytraps
Last year I tried a selection of venus flytraps, pitcher plants and sundews in the greenhouse to keep the airbourne pests at bay.  The bees seemed to avoid them and they other little flying criters disappeared over night and left the plants free by yorkbonsai

green beetles on my cauli
others, and they generally look really poor and discoloured.  While I was examining them for slugs I've discovered a green beetle-like insect that looks like a cross between a beetle and a cricket and is bright sap green.  Is this a pest?  Is it causing by The Saint

will be interested to see if anyone else comes up with something. Thankyou for your advise.I will try your method this year.I would also be interested also to see if anything can repel these pests that is not a systemic insectiside,but I will have to use one as a by sal3

Something is eating my lavender
slug-like larvae which might be responsible.  It is a southern European pest but has recently migrated north and has now reached the UK.  I have studied the plants and the soil and have shaken the pots but I cannot see any trace.  I have given the pots by ChapelGirl2

catapillar damage on boxus
my box shrubs and hedges are covered in green catapillars , my chickens think they are yummy , but one chicken is looking rather ill , will these pests do harm to my chickens? Caterpillars shouldn't do your hens any harm - some caterpillars may by sandy Bletcher

baffled by strawbs and a mystery plant
unable to solve. so somethings going on with my strawberries. it's only happening to about half of them but i can't work out if it's a pest or rain damage.piccys attached. they look diferent when first picked to when they've dried a little so i've taken by Mizz
