Talkback: Planting ornamental alliums
I enjoyed Sara Raven's video on Allium bulbs, I have grown some of the ones she likes best with seeds one picked up while on Honeymoon, off the ground (windfall). One would be "NOT AMUSED" . O what a wonderfull sight they make four years on. KEEP by oldgreenfingers

Brussel Sprouts
Can anyone tell me why my sprouts are not tight round balls but look like mini cannages and are they still edible Hi PhilH. One piece of advice re sprouts i picked up recently was to remove the top of the plants, doing this seems to make the sprouts by PhilH

Aphids on seedlings
I am raising some Geums from seed - they are currently about 3" tall and are in 3" pots on a windowsill.  Somehow they have got greenfly.  I pick the greenfly off every day and squash them, but they come back very fast.  Is there anything else I can by Laura Corin

Walnuts on tree going black
Hi, we have 3 walnut trees at our house in Italy (Olive Grove Farm, Pescara). Many of the walnuts (15%) after picking are black inside and shrivelled up. Sometimes I have seen a small worm type maggot (in healthy ones). Is there a spray or something by Kevin Fielding

Deformed beans
My climbing French beans are becoming more and more twisted as the season draws to a close. Does anybody know what causes it? - They are still picked and eaten.   The only time I had anything like that - they were more the V-shape than the curly by Beanli

Talkback: How to make an alternative Christmas wreath
You are kidding, right? This looks like someone was trawling for tuna and picked up some floating debris. Are there dolphins in there, or is it just flotsam and jetsam. One sees chain mail which is less obtrusive. Did Sir Bedevere wear pantyhose by Alarmed Nut
