This years fruit will rot and fall off anyway if it hasn't had time or enough warmth to ripen. If the bush is very big it's easier to sweep up the fallen fruit. If not very big then you could pick it off when it looks as though there's no hope by Colin Richards2

Ah. James. I already have a duck pond at the kitchen door and loads of birdseed and crumbled fat balls on the paths. lots of eucalyptus bark everywhere needed picked up and snowdrops blushing unseen as I saw them a couple od days ago. Yes by happymarion

Talkback: How to plant out runner beans
Does anybody know how big the runner beans get before you pick them? I have no idea and they are starting to grow already! I dont want to pick them too early and not too late! Hi Thank you for the information on growing beans. I found it very useful by Hannah_Banana_

Our neighbour has a damson tree with much of the tree being in our garden.  Each year it is full of damsons but have never picked the ones our side because I don't really know what to do with them.  I do not want to make jam so is it best to freeze by Poppy Red

only spume more, so reckon it's counterproductive since logically they'll suck extra sap to re-conceal themselves..?I'm inclined to just make sure I give it a thorough wash if I pick an affected section of plant, and check no nymph's still attached! I by gazza

get these on my Lilies and I find the only thing is to pick them off and discard them as you see fit, a bit labour intensive. I never use any insecticide as I also grow a lot of veg in my garden and do not want any run off etc etc... Yes but I agree by asbestosbike

To spray or not to spray?
 climbing rose with black spot but a nearby honeysuckle and clematis have also developed black spots on their leaves Hi Zoomer!                      I imagine blackspot DOES spread, because the advice is always to pick up and destroy infected leaves, otherwise the soil by northchiel
