confused..
hand books, or TKmax, I picked up Green Gardening & The RHS Encylopedia there for less than £20 for the two.  Have to say though, I've taped every episode of Gardener's World & keep them for over the winter months & rewatch them all before I ditch them by lisa berry

Best dwarf pear or apple?
.   Concorde is a lovely pear, with the flavour of it's parent Conference, and the sweet buttery texture of a Comice.  I'm so looking forward to picking my own. I bought it (and fruit bushes etc) from here http://www.readsnursery.co.uk/ an online supplier local by Jess is in the Garden

I put out saucers with bran dot them around the garden then at night rubber gloves on and go collecting they head towards the bran and its much easier to pick them up - then they go down the drain!! Hedgehogs and birds are also predators of slugs by smokeyjack

Talkback: Moles
-killer to trap them isn't a happy option, either. P.S. I've actually picked two up when they emerged from under my compost heap. Dear little things, but oh the devastation! To Jackw..ReplyYou need to put the soil back in the hole(tunnel) that the mole has dug out by chloet

Talkback: Feeding birds in summer
but ground feeders tend to pick at the lawn and hop amongst the flower beds.      I get the odd field mouse which the cat usually catches and occassional frog but for some reason the cat ignores these! by midgelet

Talkback: Stone me!
... thanks!!! I've just picked a bag full of cydonia japonica fruit off my mum's shrub but, on looking on line for recipes for jelly, I find that most of the sites describe the fruit as inedible. I wanted to make jelly, but would hate to poison family by Susan St James
