Nectarine
by rain.  Plants are affected in early and mid spring and the leaves become blistered and red.  You need to cover your bush until summer.  Pick off those red leaves. Move into greenhouse or put parasol or similar over it if it is in a pot. by CLER

Mushroom help!
of them? If so, how? Just pick them off. They will be in the compost that you've used, and coming up because you're watering. They'll eventually run out of stuff to live on and stop appearing. by vashton19

Common garden mint
Sounds like powdery mildew. It is a fungal disease and mint is susceptible to it.  Pick off all infected leaves and improve conditions.Your growing conditions may need to be changed. Powdery mild often occurs when a plant dries out - can happen by lily-larkspur

Looking for a good gardening gropu
Hi all, I live in Marlborough, Wiltshire and I am looking for a gardening group to join where I can learn new skills and pick up some good advice.  I am looking for a group that is happy to get new gardeners and not just ones who are old hat at it by yvonne parsons2

Free guide for native pond and bog garden plants
I picked up a reference to this little guide on another post last week. It is called "Keeping ponds and aquaria without harmful invasive plants" A bit of a long winded title but very descriptive of content. Available free from Plantlife by frensclan

Talkback: Bats
from the others staying there, we eventually cornered it in the toilet and I picked it up, still remember the feel of its tiny claws clutching my fingers. And yes, I know I shouldn't have done but I wasn't up in bat protection in those days. by Warthog
