have not tried this yet, but it conjures up quite a picture. I find a small bowl of water with a squirt of washing up liquid does the trick, pick up your slug/snail drop them in the bowl and hey presto they are done for. Have you tried SLUG GONE. Safe by ginjosie

the foodchain, like a bird, can find them. There is no need to be cruel to be a successful gardener. I love it when a tame robin or blackbird joins me while I am gardening to pick up worms - luckily all the gardens I work in have very fertile soil. I agree by Dragonfly
