is there any special way of planting pineapple tops   never had any real success but I was told to wring the top out of the fruit a bit like choking a chicken, place over a glass of water so it starts to form roots and them just pop it in the garden by bec2

Has anybody grown salvia Amistad? How do you rate it? Is there a difference between Pineapple sage and Tangerine? I grow pineapple and its foliage is wonderfully scented but I don't know Tangerine by Verdun

Can anyone tell me the name of this tree.  It has silvery leaves and yellow blossoms with a pineapple fragrance.  Unfortunately I think this tree is quite old and a mainh branch has no leaves on it this spring.  Can anyone help? What you described by Elizabeth Kelly

Ornamental grasses
but they dont seem to be widely grown and I wonder why. I have a pineapple sage with tall red flowers, 5' high, next to a white/green miscanthus in full flower as good as anything growing in the summer. Comvicing anyone? You're convincing me. Things by Verdun

I am very busy at the moment taking cuttings for next years display. I have one greenhouse heated overwinter and it is usually packed to the rafters  So far I have taken Trailing Geraniums    Scented Geraniums    Pineapple Sage  Variegated Sage by lilylouise

Fruit and veg ripeness
of selling inferior unripe fruit which will never be fit to eat at its best.  Nectarines?  Crunch one minute, woolly and rotten the next! Ditto peaches. Ditto pears.  Pineapples will not ripen further once thay are cut. Bananas are an exception.  They used by dmball
