Climber to cover large wall
for something that is evergreen and has a flower / fragrance in summer though, I don't mind if there is mainteance involved but my overriding priority is to cover the wall within a few years (pic of wall attached).  Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks by Dom

Talkback: Bindweed
or not it stifles too many of the earlier wild flowers. Luckily, bees seem to like it despite its (to us)awful smell! It's pretty, but nearly as pretty as willow-herb which it does seem to be strangling. The bindweed in Scotland mainly has pink flowers and looks by Middle Man

Talkback: Growing primulas
when I had a primrose with twenty petals on one flower and only two stems fused! As for the sparrows - primula leaves are attractive food for a tiny insect which makes pinholes in them so perhaps your birds are after those? i have bought some begonia by Rupert Bear

Invasive plants to avoid
weed of the first order, deasd head it assiduously. Forgot another one, Solidago, that also seeds itself everywhere if not cut down. Hiya Berghill, I had a piece of solidago "kindly" given me when I admired the yellow flowers. The donor's garden by christopher2
