Slug killer on edibles advice needed
was sprinked on the plants. I have tried every kind of killer and this has been the only one that worked. Hi,  I have tried all that, also Olbas Oil on T.Bags, nothing works round here, was looking at battery operated sonic sound, hoping that works.  We have so by Daft Old Bat

Creosote - Which one and the best technique?
probably spray the larger part of it, but creosote type stuff can and does kill greenery, so where the spray falls (other than on the wood) be prepared for any plants or grass it touches to die off.  Having said that, I still wouldn't use anything else by Earl20

As a keen gardener, my solution is never to leave any bare soil available - thus killing two birds with one stone: I have to plant all those impulse purchases and I'm deterring Fluffy from my borders as well. The water pistol solution is indeed by Tina

Too cold to even contemplate seeds! Monty's video on planting courgettes is all well and good but Lancashire is still in deepest winter - roll on some sunshine. Can anyone help - I have just planted onion seeds in a heated propogater and can find by DABBLER

Lupins destroyed by greenfly
times wiping them all off with kitchen towel (and squashing a lot of them!), but the next day, there they all are again.  I have also sprayed with organic pesticide - I think that it is fish oils - which washes them all of, but again by Lunarz

Talkback: Grow your own chutney
tubers for planting? Is it possible to use the tubers from the (Thai or Indian) green grocers? Just found a bag of Red Baron lurking in my cupboard so am going to plant and keep fingers crossed for own onions to make this and a green tomato chutney by juliamalone@sky.com

more than when I started !!!  From sowing the seed in the greenhouse it all goes well, but the minute I put the seedlings (and much older plants)  in the beds they quickly start to struggle. Some die within days, but mostly they just hang on and grow by Veg Grower

Edging for bed
with no problem however the neighbour who does nil gardening has copied the quadrant although without any plants yet, lowering their side , my soil now sinks . My question is after all that what to use to keep the soil in , I have been looking at the green rolls by bunnysgarden
