Plant closer together in containters or raised beds...
Why can you plant closer together if in containers / raised beds? Partly to make best use of them, but also because the soil tends to be richer and can support more plants. by Supernoodle

Vine Wires
After following Toby Buckland's highly helpful 'How to put up plant support wires' video, I have just put up some wires in the garden. They are pretty much horizontal and it shows how skew-wiff the fence is!   I can never win... Don't worry.  Once by Steve Johnson

Asparagus
I haven't managed to plant my asparagus out yet - it is now pretty tall and spindly (I guess this is meant to happen) - I know I cut it back after it flowers / seeds. I would like to plant it out ASAP but I am at a loss as to how I support it by WeeDeec

Metal obelisk or willow wigwam for sweet peas?
I need some help in choosing the right supports for my sweet peas.  I don't want to spend a huge amount of money but I do want to choose something that will look right in my newly landscaped garden.  Any advice - and photos - would be most welcome by happycottontail

To cover wood tip or not?
On my potted plants that were supported by bamboo stick, I noticed the bamboo tip were covered with a plastic cover. What is the purpose of them? Asthetic, safety issues or to protect them from rotting? I recently purchased a trellis made of willow by Kitty Jingga
