the seeds of the past flowering flower my neighbour has beautiful large poppies in her garden. how do i and when do i plant the seeds from the past flowers i luv the smell of lilies in the evenings, especially the bold asiatic ones. This year, i have grown by Christine

Should I dig up my Allysum?
to grow strongly next spring. This works well if you have an informal garden; good plants to try this with are poppies. If you want to plant things now, though, pull up your alyssum and plant away. By the way, other types of plants are biennials, which by Jo Hamilton

Help Identifying flowers
look like gazanias. Could A be the pink bracts of a Bouganvillea? E is so pretty, I would love to know what it is. A looks like a Poppy, but not sure. E could well be an Iris ensata type, but again there are a lot of Irids with that petal formation. Wow by Flower_newbie

In flower now
Just looking around my very young garden at whats in flower now and I still have a delphinium in bloom, a shirley poppy, roses, argyranthemum, snap dragons, wild carrot and lavender. I have primroses, wallflowers, winter honeysuckle, pansies by Muvs Dashwood

gardener's world offers?
what do u do about free gardener's world offers that die? do u go back and ask for replacement or just take it in your stride? i took the 4 free poppies offer, but they were old stock and only two has produced leaves, the other two have rotted by franco6832

Wild Flower Planting
'd go to one of the specialists, you'll get bigger packets. don't forget there are lots of different 'meadows' The annual cornfield flowers, cornflower, poppy, corncockle  don't grow in grass, they need cultivated soil as in a cornfield. The perennials by Gary Burgess

love Welsh poppies (meconopsis cambrica). Some people don't like the fact they self seed everywhere, but I see them as a gift of nature. I used to have only yellow ones because I wanted a more controlled colour selection, but I threw down some orange by SuzieC

Double planting
for instance, my Oriental Poppy flop got planted with Cosmos last year but I would really like to discover a permanent arrangement with something rising through the Poppy foliage for later summer display.  I really will enjoy this learning curve in my severely by Yvieh

Is everyone else's plants very late this year?
for weeks nor snow which is not unheard of in June too!! I think that everyone is facing the same issue.  My strawberries are about a month behind where they would be usually. My perrenial poppys are only just in bud and my knautia is struggling. Last year by Lunarz

Damnation to double flowers
it gave me the idea. I've divided it now to make space for single flowering plants which will give them a helping hand. I have some more hardy geraniums to go in and have started off Cosmos, Echinacea,Rudbeckia,Oriental poppy Dwarf Allegro and an annual by Woodgreen wonderboy
