Potatoes
Hi, I grow potatoes in bags every year, with quite a good result.  My question to you all is, could I use my home-made compost instead of bought multipurpose compost?  I seem to end up with so much compost in my bins and hope that this would be one by Elva

I have grown winter brassicas on my veg plot and would like to know if I can plant potatoes, this season, where the brassicas where, or if it will affect the potatoes. Can anyone answer this question please. You'll be fine to plant potatoes after by teabag 2

how can i plant potatoes in layers in a ton bag the one you get sand in from the builders merchant you cant really plant them in layers but you could fit up to 20 potatoes plants if the soil is deep and rich in the bag make sure it dose not dry out by Richard Griffith Jones

Seed Potatoes
I grew pink fir apple potatoes last year, when i cleared out the shed last week i found some potatoes which had been left in the tub i put them in for storage (to use as and when i needed them). They have started to sprut would these be ok to plant by Dolphin_in_the_deep

holey potatoes
Every year so far there have been holes in or through my potatoes. What is causing this and how can I prevent it this year. Hi wellygirl2. holey potatoes can be caused both by slugs and wireworm. If the holes are right through then wireworm could by wellygirl2

Potato blight and soil
Can I use the compost in my potato bag for growing anything else - e.g. bulbs etc. The potatoes were fine, but the leaves had blight. by carogre

potato problem
Hi, Can anyone help identify this pest, if I leave my potato crop in the ground too long these tiny worm like creatures make holes and when dug up they all start to come out it is revolting.   Does anyone know any remedy for them. I do follow a crop by Daisytwo

First early potatos
Once your potato plants flower, is it better to dig all the first earlies up and store the potatos inside or can I leave the potatos and plants in the ground and dig them up as I need them? If I want the ground to grow something else in, is it OK by andyben

Potatoes (again-sorry!)
