I've grown potatoes in sacks for the first time this year and am wodering whether it is better to keep them in the sacks or dig them up and put them into storage sacks, On some of the ones I am digging up there are whats best described as warts by parry14

, yes keep feeling them and if possible try to stop them touching each other, as contact can cause mould to form. But your garage is perfect for them There is still plenty of time. I don't usually plant potatoes before April. You don't want their green by adam murray

assume you are now chitting the seed potatoes? One thing I have learnt over many years you can never garden to the calendar or predict the weather I still wonder about planting so early as blight tends to strike maincrop and there is still plenty of time by jad1

Last years potatoes in May
I've just been at my allotment and dug up a row of potatoes I'd left in from last year. They had sprouted but when I dug them up and broke the sprouts off, to my surprise (especially since we're in May!) they look great. They've been under black by J82
