but the chickens are just glory hunters and do not really add to the garden. I have yet to see a garden complete with dog agility course, which some dogs really enjoy. We know Nige likes to do tricks with potatoes. by jatnikapyar

New Vegetable Plot
Hi Everyone. I'm new here and new to gardening! I have a good sized veggie plot and have already planted 2nd early seed potatoes (before the snow) and put my onion sets in last week. I have runner and broad beans, carrots, spinach, cabbage by Ali Newbie Gardener

Tatties
Hi have been growing chitted potatoes since March ( first earlies- no idea of variety) The haulms look strong and healthy as do the leaves, however, bit concerned that its now July and no sign of flowers apart from one or two plants out of about 20 by Brycey D

my potatoes,this year I planted maris piper and wilja's and have just dug them up and they are full of slug holes,beautiful lovely big spuds too. would it be an idea to lime next year or grow a different variety. I even have ducks on the garden who by hereisabee

Talkback: Allotment successes
and my onions were vandelised by kids in the holidays so a fence is going to have to go up I grew Rocket Potatoes again this year and have been delighted with results. Last year I grew Maris Peer and was very disappointed. Mostly I grow them in tubs by S lambert

What would be best for my tete a tete (and me)?

Veg growing inside
crops - leaves, radish, spring onions - yum. I do all of these on my windowsills along with herbs (rosemary, basil, mint, coriander and thyme) . I'm going to give garlic a go this year.  We've currently got first early potatoes on the go by Mattwestyorks

Growing leeks
and are well spaced then they should do ok. If you are growing new potatoes the leeks can usually wait until you have cleared them and then use the cleared potatoe ground. I've got a deep 12" pot which i could use... Thank you! by Bf206

Help - Massive Bramble problem
's not unusual to pull out shoots that are well over 12 feet long (the green ones go in the green bin, the brown ones from last year go into the burner).  I was told some time ago that potatoes are good for re-claiming ovegrown land, is this true?  Can I plant by Mummy Muddy Paws
