And then it goes on to destroy your tomatoes! Blight really is the word! Where are potato blight testing kit available from and at what cost? I used to be a fan of Belle de Fontenay but if there is any blight about they will get it. So it really by Frances M

Potatoes losing their leaves
Hi, My potato crop has suddenly lost all their leaves and I am just left wth a bare stalk and on some, rock hard, green cherry tomatoe looking fruit. Does anyone know what has happened and will the crop be OK to harvest in a few weeks time? I only by Jan19

patio Potato bag
I want to know if anyone ha been successful growing other veg in the green canvas bag that came free with potato two years ago. I would like to try some thing like courgettes but I am not sure they would do well in it. Any thoughts please Hi, last by dressmaker

Why Are My Potatoes Producing Tomatoes
. Very odd. Any ideas?  The are the fruit containing the seeds of the potato plant and they are poisonous - DO NOT EAT THEM. People new to potato growing are sometimes confused by the term 'seed potatoes'.  They are not the green fruit that you have seen by TheSloth

recipe for chutney please? Bev After the debacle with blight in the last two years in Bristol I'm pleased to report none and very good yields of potatoes and tomatoes. I probably will not have any green ones as they all seem to be ripening well by WarwickshireDrooper

1st Early potatoes
Hi...What are the differences in 1st early, 2nd early and maincrop potatoes?  .   When can they be planted (in bags) ?   What are the best recomended variety to use.?    What is chitting ?   If anyone could help me with these questions I would by flowergirl4

Growing potatoes in bags - Advice.
of at the moment, sticking out of one of the bags in which I am growing potatoes. Yes, he was using it as a litter tray. Despite my assurances that before any spuds are ready for using the bag will have been thoroughly watered through over several months my wife by GarryH

I have been lifting 1st early potatoes, Rocket & P. Javellin etc,to be out before the blight arrives. If tubers from this early spring planting had been set aside, as suggested, for a Christmas ready crop,they would surely be sprouting out by Progardener

Pot Grown Potatoes
I am growing potatoes in pots and have been earthing up.  They have now reached the top of the pot and I now have a little mound!  I can't earth up much more so is is OK to just let them grow naturally now.  Any advice greatly appreciated by alisondicky

SOMETHING IS EATING MY POTATO LEAVES
.  My first thought was slugs but ive been told they dont touch potato leaves.  Can any one help and advise on the best cure to get rid of whichever pest is doing this damage. My potatoes are relying on you! Marlene Slugs and snails do snack on potato by MOLLY4
