Last years potatoes in May
I've just been at my allotment and dug up a row of potatoes I'd left in from last year. They had sprouted but when I dug them up and broke the sprouts off, to my surprise (especially since we're in May!) they look great. They've been under black by J82

Do I harvest my Potatoes soon?
Our potatoes have been growing in a potato sack since mid-April. The plants themselves are getting really big (we've even had to tie some to a stake to hold the plants up). When do you reckon would be a good time to start harvesting? Not sure what by Huntertony

Talkback: Top 10 salad potatoes for flavour
I'm so disappointed that you've not included Juliette in your top 10. I think it must rank as the most tasty and best textured potato there is - but maybe that's just personal taste. Was it in the running at all? Did something else let it down from by KarenBruton

Will red ant colony damage my potato crop?
I was over at the allotment today, and whilst covering the first leaves of the potato crop (Maris Bard) I came across a large red ant colony. It's our first year on the allotment and we're trying to learn fast! Will these ants damage the crop? If so by Pepe2509
