At wits end with carrots and slugs
, covered with Enviromesh, That I hope will keep out pretty much all predators. Does it not occur to anybody that slug pellets are not hedgehog friendly; never, ever. If you kill all the slugs what are the hedgehogs to eat?  It is not a case of poisoning by Auntiemand

Keeping Cats and Wildlife apart?
shrubs nearby to hide in when predators like the sparrow hawk visit so he only gets the sick or stupid.  In the 10 years the hawks bhave been visiting I've only sen them get on wood pigeon. Both dogs chase birds on the ground but never catch them by ClaireCat

plants, whatever.  Do not disrespect the power of plants to wound or infect.  They have evolved defences over millions of years to defeat predators and we are only novices in fighting them. I am not being overfussy as I have seen some of the tragedies by rosie plum
