I grew  Lamium and  Ajuga in pots last year and I would like to propagate them. All the books seem to say that if they grow in the ground they produce their own offsets and therefore they should be divided. As they are in containers can I take by kate1123

sowing times will apply. What are you sowing, seeds need differing heats and propagators usually have a standard cooler setting, a thermostat gives more scope. What exactly did the GC advise when selling you sand and grit and did you get the sowing compost by over60plus

Black currants
be transplanted into their final position or into a large pot.  Blackcurrants are easy to propagate this way, so most cuttings should take providing you don't let them dry out at any stage. Thanks for the advice- I will wait until fall, then. by Inkadog

Clematis
Its it easy to propagate clematis? Yes, in theory, but often they don't take from cuttings.  Layering is a good method and you can also sow seeds but then what you get will be surprises. This advice is from the RHS - http by scotkat
