PBR protected or not?
Hello, I want to start a small back yard nursery and I'm trying to make a selection of plant variaties to propagate. Often the variaties I want to use  are PBR protected and so not allowed to propagate for commercial purpose. Can somebody tell me by spieterspater

winter protection
Hi, how do l protect my new standars olive tree in winter plz, it,s planted in the garde? thanx Depends on where you have it in the garden Saj.They need a south facing sheltered spot with full sun, if you are in the South then that should suffice by Saj

Phormium protection
Hi all, Can you advise how to protect my phormiums over the winter and now the frosts are upon us. I have done some internet research but the advice seems contradictory. Some sites say they are ok over the winter and other sites regail terrible by yvette303

Hi, l lost my Bottle brush to winter snow, then bought a new bigger plant, only to find that dead this last winter. How do l protect it in witer plz? Most bottle brush plants are not winter-hardy in the UK and need to be over-wintered in a frost by Saj

Sprout Protection
's if the birds had left me anything to protect. I just use metal or wooden rods to anchor it to the ground.   I would take a photo but it's pouring down right now so I'll try tomorrow so you can see how it works.  My plot looks a bit like tent city but I'd rather by Andrew Kenneth

Strawberry protection
growing strawberries in baskets and wondered how best to protect them from birds. Do I just hang mesh over the basket? It seems to me that the wind might just dislodge it. Are there any tips from those that have tiried? i plant mine in tubs (i have a very by Colin Atkinson

Plant Protection - Fleece 'Hats'
I have a couple of these fleece 'hats' to protect my more sensitive plants from frost. Can I keep them on for the next few months without removing them from the plant of should they be removed periodically to give the plane a bit of sun / light by Chris 7

Protecting bulbs from frost
Due to the balmy winter, a lot of my bulbs (tulips, daffs and crocuses) are already breaking well through the soil and the crocuses are starting to flower. Is there a cheap and easy way to protect these all when the later frosts and snow inevitably by Matt Beighton

Protecting broad beans?
We've planted broad beans on our allotment to try and get an early crop for next year. Thrilled to see them all coming up and looking great but am unclear whether I need to protect them or not?I haven't got any fleece so will need to get some by chrissieB
