Edging for bed
new, untreated ones, though. My sleepers were old na dhaven't bled at all.  In fact they've dried to a silvery grey and they had black plastic on teh inside to protect them from moisture in teh soil and prevent any leaching.   The shadier ones by bunnysgarden

horse droppings and shreddings. It's not too hardy, it survived -14C. Maybe this very wet winter following the wet summer will see it off but I bet it doesn't. No Nut it will survive. Get it out. Those roots will simply be protected and nourished by Berkley

Bargains
can get the seeds I'm short of (peas, red & yellow tumbling toms, beetroot & resistafly/flyaway carrots, pumpkins). Now I just need to get OH to drill some holes in a couple of old buckets so I can plant up the trees to protect the roots until I get by Mummy Muddy Paws

!!! What should I feed with? Should I feed on planting ? Do they like full sun? Or sheltered ? I have a early sun /shade area protected by shed and fence or full sun bit exposed I thought it would be long shot but that's how I garden Ps thanks GG , Rosa by Bunny..

've planted them in March before. But if it's very cold where you live perhaps it would be best to wait til it's a bit warmer. You can earth them up a bit which will protect them, and the rain / watering will gradually push the soil back down to normal level by antony turner

Where is everybody from...
good soil in veg patch to generally good to quite poor in places. Sycamore trees at bottom of garden protect from any salt winds. Mild to very mild....this winter, for example, has not been too cold.I have a 80 x 80 foot front garden with lawn and jam by Huntertony

prenial flowers for cutting
-cheaply if you just want cut flowers-you may have to lift in the autumn but in some areas- if protected- can be left in over winter. HiCody are you thinking about growing them from seed?  Some of the achilleas are good at first year flowering. agastaches, some by cody smith
