Pruning Young Roses

How to prune a Pieris
I have a very large Pieris that I have had for years, that has beomw a bit leggy and lost a lot of it's redness. I have not really pruned it before - I have only taken off a few dead ends?  Please advise? As a minimum, you need to prune off by kellylewis

pruning a pear tree
I have inherited pear tree {not full size} which is about 2 or 3 years old. it had lots of blossom and pears formed but were lost in the winds we had earlier. it has put on alot of growth and is very leafy. I am dying to prune it but not sure when by marigold2

Pruning plum trees
A bit of a novice gardener!  Planted a new victoria plum tree ( St Julian A rootstock- it says on the label!) last autumn/ late summer and for various reasons it did not get pruned it at all. It has several 3/4 long thin branches, and is close to a by uglybug

Pruning large box shrubs
Box should be pruned in spring and mid-summer, if that's any help - I'm having to guess what your question was! And what about quite small bo - I have plants about 12" high, 3 yrs old - not pruned them thus far, but they are beginning to look pretty by Susie Slughater

Should we prune ??

Pruning Sambucus in Autumn
I've had to repot my sambucus as the pot it was in was broken by workmen and in doing so , I noticed some stems had also been damaged due to the accident. It now looks rather lob-sided so I was wondering if I could give it a small prune now just by Jean Riley

too scared to prune
want to you can leave it as it is for a  few years then cut it back (at this time of year) when it is  outgrowing its space. Don't worry, you won't kill it - and if you want to you can stick the prunings in the ground and they will all grow and you can by Sinevegas
