Pruning Braeburn apple
Hi All, I have a three year old dwarf braeburn apple tree.  The growth has been quite vigorous this year although all the apples fell off at marble size in early May. My question is can I prune now and if so how to do so without reducing fruiting by Sandy12

Red currant pruning
I have 2 red currant bushes which were planted about a year ago. They did not fruit this year and I know they need pruning. My instinct is to leave them but I think I have read somewhere they need to be cut back now. I am new to fruit growing. When by Bjay

Pruning standard roses
I'm lucky enough to be the custodian of a historic property with a small walled garden which I am also responsible for. I have a pair of standard roses which are so old that they have trunks rather than stems! Whilst I'm normally fearless at pruning by Cetti

Pruning Rhododendons - how? Help needed!
Hi! We have a very large and leggy Anthony Waterer rhodo which looks too big for its position in our newly created woodland garden. We'd like to prune it, but is it OK to cut it back hard without doing damage? And if so, how long, approximately by wisehedgecrone

Pruning to improve centre of tree
Hi, I have inherited a 20ft Magnolia grandiflora which has had little or no pruning over the years and which seems to have lost its central leader at some point.  A lateral leader has taken over and as a result the tree centre is bereft of branches by Stumpy2

When to Prune Escallonia.
/red. Ours were planted 2 years ago.  Early this spring neighbour to the right mentioned how untidy it was (he didn't particularly want it anyway, but we prefer a boundary) so I pruned it quite hard.  It hasn't flowered this year. On the left side we left it by Highland Jeannie

How should I prune this
Any advice please as to how I can prune this Dogwood standard ( I think it is)   I would prune each branch back to within a few buds leaving the main stem intact.. New strong shoots should grow and look as it does now. I would do it now or soon by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw
