Carrots
I planted some carrots in a planter down the side of my house. Ive raised the planter off the ground slightly using an off cut of wooden edging roll, to allow drainage, but im really worried about them with all this rain. Ive just asked my husband by frustrated_gardener

New to website
Hi,new to this site, garden and allotment holder and just thank  goodness the rain has stopped. Itching to get seeds planted but still a bit cold so just some allotment digging for now. Just  got a greenhouse heater but looked on internet by Jan Kellie

Water butt
Well with all this rain I think I could have filled up my 2 water butts twice over especially as they were already full, hey anybody else got a lot of rain at the minute? Think I could do with more butts at this rate the plants are definitely by Gardengirl..

Water saving for veg plot
I have 2 wheelly bins of rain water on my allotment, i never had a lid on them so the water is smelly with fallen leaves etc in there, is this ok to water my veg plot with or do i need to use a waterbut with a lid on, water? I would say it's fine by racwelsh
